Immediate, life or death decision-making, forward-thinking strategic planning, and in-the-moment appreciation for enduring relationships mark my professional and personal life. As a 38 year veteran of the fire service, I have come alongside many people having the worst day of their lives and helped many more prepare for and prevent personal injury and property damage. Getting to work with community members, government officials, business owners, and elected officials during emergencies, training sessions, drills, planning sessions, and much more, has uniquely prepared me to help others – my passion!
Picture: Working out affords multiple opportunities to play all sorts of challenging games – this day was no different. I saw a couple of guys two switchbacks ahead of me on the trail clipping along at a fast pace, I accepted my self-imposed challenge to catch up to them. It took some work, but I made it. One of them, Dom (Dominick), only had one leg, the other he lost to cancer. He’s no slacker. What an inspiration!
